Image
Summary: This book revolves around Hazel Grace who is a cancer patient .   She is diagnosed with Stage IV Thyroid cancer with metastasis forming in her lungs, but  has  managed to live with her disease owing to doses of an experimental drug called Phalanxifor. She meets Augustus Waters in a support group, who has  a type of bone cancer called  osteosarcoma , but is in  remission after having part of his leg amputated. They travel to Amsterdam together to meet Hazel's favourite author and eventually fall in love. But life has other plans for them... Review: The thing I love about this book is that unlike most books you dont get a miracle in the end. Even though it breaks the readers hearts, it teaches us what real life is like, where miracles are unconventional. Love doesnt always win, it cant beat certain things such as cancer which is what this book potrays. Even though they loved each other, they were separated.
